20 Week Appointment

I had my 20 week appointment yesterday and this is a fun appointment because they do the anatomy ultrasound. Ten fingers, ten toes, four chambers, and so on. Everything looked great! Heartbeat was around 143. And the tech verified we are indeed having another little girl! Let the name games begin!

Here are some pictures:

Tiny little profile of baby girl

Yup, baby is a GIRL
She was moving around constantly and I find in general that she's going non-stop as soon as I stop going non-stop. I feel like I race around all day long and when I finally sit down and say, "Phew..." then I feel her kicking all around probably saying, "Thanks for taking a minute to sit down and listen to me!" I felt her kick at around 18/19 weeks and the doctor had told me it would probably take a little time to feel her because my placenta is in the front of my uterus. I guess making a bit of a block to the stomach. Matt felt her actual kick last week at 20 weeks. I'm now 21 weeks (almost 22 on Monday)!

Here's a belly shot at 20 weeks. Halfway there!

First Day of School

Yesterday was William and Grace's first day of school!

Ready to go to school!

William is a "Shining Star" this year in 3 day 3's and Grace is an "Owl" in 2 day 2's. Both were excited running around the house with their school bags before we left.

I walked them both into school and figured we would drop off William first, so that Grace could see the old pro walk in without tears. If we dropped her off first then I figured she'd get upset wondering why William and I were going off together.

Walking William to class first

William walked into his classroom and was good to go! Grace on the other hand threw a tantrum that he just left and threw herself to the ground in a very dramatic fashion.

William's classroom

I quickly picked her up and she got over it. Her classroom is only a few doors down from William and Grace was ready to go. Here she is below taking a photo op before walking into the classroom.

Grace always ready for a picture
Grace was greeted by her teacher and I said "Bye, Grace!" She said, "Bye bye, mommy" and turned back to her teacher. She turned and gave me a kiss then officially left for the day. She walked in with no problem at all.

Grace's teacher said she was wonderful on the first day. She said she is "very funny" and "spunky" - no surprise there! She also said she's a very good listener. Here are a few pictures her teacher sent me on the first day.

Sitting with friends
Matt and I walked up to pick up both William and Grace at the end of the day. Grace screamed the happiest scream to see us. It was so cute! She was sitting there so nicely with her classmates waiting for us. I did observe her push the girl in the blue dress because the girl was tugging on Grace's shirt for some reason. Oh geez, Grace!

First day success! Waiting on mama and daddy!

A great first day! William did just as well and said he had lots of fun. He said they went to chapel, played on the playground and dressed up in costumes - he was a king! William goes back today and then they both go back on Friday.

Mommy went to breakfast and coffee with friends then some window shopping before pick up. A lovely morning for all :)

Meet the Teacher

It's a new year - school year that is! Last week was our Meet the Teacher Day at school and this year Grace gets to join in the fun!

Big brother torture begins

We brought Grace to her classroom first, which might look familiar to her because it was William's classroom from last year. Grace joined me on several classroom trips to visit William last year and so she knows his teacher and teacher's assistant. She played for a few minutes, we picked up her school bag and she gave her teacher a hug on the way out. A very nice visit!

Castle fun with Mrs. Kest

William's visit came next and he is down the hallway from Grace's class. He will go 3 days this year AND be taking Spanish after school on Wednesday each week. When he walked in he met his teacher and her assistant then went with the assistant to see where he will drop his bag, pick out his name tag (which he picked out actually! So begins learning to spell and read!) then create a frame for our family picture. The picture hangs on the wall with all his other classmates' family pictures. Another nice visit and William said he was looking forward to going back next week.

William is a "Shining Star" this year

They played on the playground for a little and we headed home. 1 week until school starts!

Love these two!

Summer and the Livin' Easy

It was a whirlwind summer for the Orosz gang. We had many fun trips and lots of new adventures.

William did his first official summer camp at RDV. It was a sports themed camp and he had a lot of fun. The first day he was a little sad and confused as to why he wasn't at his preschool, but he headed off okay and said he loved it when I returned.

Then our first trip for the summer we went to North Carolina for the 4th of July. The Martinez family joined us and it was great because their two kids are the same ages as William and Grace. Always fun to have a buddy. We went on William and Grace's first hike and this was Grace's first year staying up for fireworks. They had so much fun!

The next trip was to Newport, RI and the big adventure was flying with William and Grace by myself. Thankfully Grandma Orosz dropped us curbside, so there wasn't any parking mess and we were on our way. The flight was a total breeze. They both watched Paw Patrol on the TV (thank goodness for Jetblue) and I even read my kindle. Once we got to Newport, we spent time with our best buds, the Helies. William went paddleboarding with Wes, they went crabbing and caught hermit crabs, and it was Grace's first trip to Newport. The weather was beautiful.

William moved ALL our luggage to the car

First trip to Tennis Hall of Fame during championship week

Matt met us in Rhode Island and then we headed to Cape Cod. Unfortunately we had a bit of a snafu with the air conditioning (aka there is no air conditioning in cottages on the Cape) and the trip came to an end a couple days early because of the heat discomfort during sleep times, but we still enjoyed the weather outside of the cottage and the beautiful scenery. Our last night we had the most amazing dinner at the Chatham Bars Inn. It was a clambake and I'm still dreaming of my meal...

We've had my family visit over the past couple weeks and here we are now with summer coming to a close.

We had our "Meet the Teacher" day yesterday and school starts next week. We had an end of the summer pool party with friends today, since once school starts it is hard to get everyone together at one time. Here the kids are below doing their best to pose for a picture.

Now bring on the FALL and the FALL WEATHER!!!
