More Food for Grace
Grace has had oatmeal on several occasions and is inhaling it. She clearly likes food and wants more. I keep meaning to pick up some vegetables and start pureeing them myself, but in the meantime I popped up a baby food jar for her. The first vegetable: carrots. It's all we had in the pantry, so carrots it was. She loved them. She made a face then grabs the spoon. Cracked me up! Here's the little lady enjoying her first vegetable. She gets pretty aggressive with the spoon and pokes the back of her throat - ouch! She goes right back for the food and spoon though.

Lemon Love
We were hoping to catch a really funny face on video when we gave William a little taste of lemon... (Yes, I think that rules us out for "Parents of the Year" award) Nope. He loved the lemon and kept asking for more!

Green beans, please!
The food adventure continues and so far green beans are the favorite to date. William has tried bananas, carrots, sweet potatoes, applesauce, oatmeal, and rice cereal. A few puffs too, which he loves to try and pick-up, but doesn't put them in his mouth. The one thing! Actually, he put one in his mouth after picking it up yesterday for the first time. Check out William's eagerness at eating some good ol' green beans.

First Vegetable
William tried sweet potatoes last week and his reaction was really no different from the rice cereal tasting! We tried rice cereal a few more times and he just hasn't been into it. I thought sweet potatoes might be more enticing, but still a "eh" reaction to the whole eating experience. As soon as he spots his bottle he's ready to grab on though. We'll keep at it!

First Solids
William had his first bite of food yesterday! We started him with rice cereal. I'm not sure if he actually swallowed any of it, but it was a lot of fun to try. His face said it all... ew...
He took a couple more "bites" and the show was over. I haven't heard anyone say their baby LOVED cereal, so maybe we will have better luck with vegetables. A good first try though!
