William's 1st Disney Trip

William went to Walt Disney World for the first time! We went to the Magic Kingdom for the day - William, me and Matt. Miss Grace stayed back home with Grandma Jody. Her time will come soon enough!

We're here in the Magic Kingdom! William watching the parade.

Dancing on Main Street

Stand in front of the castle, William!

As soon as we walked into the Magic Kingdom it was swarming with people, music was playing, a parade was marching and Main Street was jam packed. William was definitely overwhelmed with the sights. He was eyeing everything and didn't want us to put him down at first. He wasn't upset. He just didn't know what the heck was going on! Understandable. Once we walked onto Main Street he started dancing to the music and was good to go. We headed to Country Bear Jamboree - not a hit. The mounted heads on the wall were worrisome for William. We ended up leaving early because he wasn't even paying attention to the bears singing. Just eyeing the Moose on the wall that was talking, but didn't have a body!

Keeping an eye on that moose with no body

Then we went to "it's a small world" and took a ride through all the different countries. He watched everything with very serious observation.

Meet and greet with Winnie the Pooh was next. William was a champ and waited 30 minutes! He was perfectly content to be patient for his turn to hug Pooh. He kept asking me when he could hug him and when Pooh took a "we don't want our humans underneath this costume to overheat" break and I told William he needed water, he was very worried that Pooh got his acuppa (water in William speak). Once we finally got our turn William of course went shy and so we had to do a group hug. It was really cute. He had not been introduced to Tigger, so he didn't want to hug Tigger. We got him a Tigger toy at the end - a souvenir of Disney and now he's a fan of Tigger.

Dumbo was a big hit. He'd never heard of Dumbo before, but really took to the little elephant. We sat in a fake Dumbo ride then went on the actual ride. Matt sat in the Dumbo in front of us! So funny! There was a control on the ride and William was obviously enthralled more by this control stick than flying through the air. Nevertheless, he liked Dumbo.

William said "Night night" at this point

The train through the park is another fun attraction. You'd think by this point we'd have done a ton, but with the crowds we actually didn't attack too much more. William was wiped by around 1p. We got him some chocolate dipped Mickey Mouse ice cream by the castle then headed out of the park. For a first run, we were very pleased with our adventure!

Pooh or ice cream? Not sure which one wins.

Cheers!

Noooo! Don't want to go!
