Grace in 3D

We got Grace in 3D here!

3D Grace

Part of her at least -- and the lone picture unfortunately. The way Grace was situated during the fifteen minutes wasn't helpful in getting a clear picture, so the office offered us a second visit in hopes of her moving into a better spot. The big blob in front of her is the placenta -- hence the issue. Nicely (and it can always change, since she is only 29 weeks) she was head down! A change from her last few ultrasounds where she was feet down. Her spine is against my belly, which probably explains why I see such large movements happen (mostly in the evening).

Lots of fun to see even a little bit of her features though!

Grace Therese

Baby Girl Orosz now has a name --

Grace Therese Orosz

Grace is a name Matt and I liked for a girl when we found out we were first pregnant (with William) and so it went on the back burner when we found out we were expecting a boy. With our second, once we found out we were having a girl we went back to a few of those girl name options. We thought we'd really look into names again, but ended up deciding amongst the few we had originally mentioned.

Therese is my former middle name. Therese for St. Therese the Little Flower - also my Grandma Marie's middle name.

St. Therese The Little Flower
Grandma Marie was a super Catholic and I could not possibly count the number of St. Therese books, medals, statues, videos, etc., I was given about St. Therese growing up (she ran St. Mary's church book store in DC every Sunday after attending the 2 hour full Latin mass - talk about dedication!). If our home weren't still packed up in storage then I would definitely scan and share the photo of me DRESSED as St. Therese The Little Flower for Saint Day back at St. Michael's. St. Therese was very much known in my life! I changed my middle name to Tisone when Matt and I got married, so we both thought it would be nice to bring Therese back!

I picked up Grace's first monogrammed outfit ... white seersucker with peach ric rac beach romper! It's a cute one!

Swim Start Graduate

William passed his infant swim safety class with flying colors! He ended last Friday, but we came back on Monday to do a second "winter" clothing float/swim because Matt wasn't able to make it on the last Friday. I'm amazed because those diapers when wet weigh a ton! Here is video of him floating with his regular diaper and "winter" clothing. William did such a great job and it was really a lot of fun watching him improve each day. I'm so glad we did it. I highly recommend it to anyone! Good job, little man!

Safe Start Graduate!

Check out that shirt :)

28 Weeks

We have entered the 3rd trimester! Where has the time gone? I am certainly feeling the 3rd trimester though... talk about tired, tired, tired... the 2nd pregnancy is certainly different from the 1st. Nap when you want, sit when you want, eat when you want, the first time around. Not so much the second time around when you have a little boy named William to chase! He loves to run and explore. Happy to always be on the go. I leave the stroller behind every so often because I think he prefers walking (running rather) by himself. Those skinny little legs sure are deceiving!

What energy?

Crazy man

Back to baby #2. Here are a few belly shots from the past few weeks. Not as official as William's belly updates, but we do what we can around here! As you can see I usually think about it when I'm at the gym ha! The 27 weeks picture is the day before 28 weeks, so I guess it can kind of count as 28?

I had my 28 week appointment today, which included the glucose test. Yum-o! The lime version actually doesn't taste so bad going down, but once it finally sits there my stomach gets upset. We made it through and the nurse drew blood an hour later. I'll find out the results in a couple days. Fingers crossed it's negative. The rest of the appointment went well. Heartbeat great. The doctor thinks baby girl's head may be still up top (at my 20 weeks ultrasound she was head up), but wasn't positive. She wasn't too worried about it and said there is plenty of time for her to move/flip. Another plus about this appointment was the brand new building my OB/GYN is now occupying. Every time I was sent a follow-up survey about my appointments in the past, I made sure to note their previous building was a dump. I guess they heard me :) Brand new building with no carpeting and goofy wallpaper/artwork. Sorry - that had nothing to do with the baby - just more exciting for me.

My platelets last month where at 96 - eh, not great because they were below 100, but not an emergency. Interestingly, they have hovered between 94-100-some the past few months without any medicine. With William they dropped quite low on several occasions. I need to make an appointment with my hematologist still because the 96 won't cut it on D-day. I'll likely need to take the same prescription from last time. No rhogam shot because Matt and I are a match made in heaven - we have the same blood type. Took a platelet blood draw and I was on my way. So as you can see, baby girl is doing quite well all around!

I made the rest of my appointments for the remainder of the pregnancy, which is such a crazy thought! The due date will be here soon. William came 3 days early - what will happen this time??
