38 weeks

Nothing new today at my weekly check-up! All stats came back the same from last week. I'll be 39 weeks this weekend - just in time for my 28th birthday! It doesn't sound like me and WIlliam will be sharing the same birth date though. Dr. Moore said the baby seems quite happy and still doesn't think anything is imminent. So onto next week's appointment for 39 weeks and we'll see where we go from there... I'm still quite comfortable, but beginning to feel a bit antsy wondering when William will arrive!

37 Weeks

We met with Dr. Moore today and I have made a tiny bit of progress. We are now officially at 1 cm, but still 50% effaced. So nothing imminent, but nice to know something is happening! My rocking chair just shipped, so I would like that to arrive before William shows up! My blood pressure is still low, not swollen at all, William's heartbeat was 153 and my blood platelets are continuing to rise - 116 today. All good things!  

36 Weeks

Happy New Year!

Matt and I had a very relaxing New Year's Eve this year. We had a yummy dinner at Ruth's Chris and then headed home to watch the ball drop in NYC. 2011 was such an exciting year for us and I have no doubt the excitement will continue into 2012!

Today we had our weekly check-up and nothing has changed since last week, which isn't too surprising. Still 50% effaced and barely a "dimple," if you will. William's heartbeat was around 145-150 and he's definitely facing head down. So the waiting game continues!

Also, since taking the medicine prescribed by my hematologist my blood platelets have risen above 100. Great news! I'll still go back weekly to make sure they stay in that range.
