Gray Tooth

First medical trauma over here and thankfully not a big deal. If this is the worst that happens then we are lucky! Grace a couple weeks ago knocked her front tooth on the slide climbing up BECAUSE William and his friends were playing Ninja Turtles and chasing her... hmmm... thanks a lot, William. She hit it pretty hard the teacher said and they were worried it was moving. She said it hurt that day, but the next day she didn't mention it. She has a high tolerance of pain though. I touched it and didn't feel any wiggle, so I kind of ignored it because I heard there is nothing to do if the tooth dies.

A week goes by and I notice discoloration. Time to call the dentist! After an x-ray and examination, the dentist said there is no damage to the adult tooth (which was the main concern) and she may get lucky with the tooth color returning to white. There was a trauma to the nerves, but since she is still very young there is plenty of blood going to the tooth - which apparently helps it heal. When kids are 4 or 5 the tooth usually dies because that baby tooth is about to fall out and no blood is going to it. Learn something new all the time. So she is fine. It is noticeable up close, but not that big of a deal. Grace clearly doesn't notice. So we are all good! Best part she got a mustache at the dentist office. Her choice from the treat dispenser.

Maybe this mustache will distract from the tooth?

School Pictures

School pictures are back! We got some good ones and of course - some pretty goofy ones too. Clare got in on the sibling picture. I asked for one quick picture of the three of them, but the photographer kept going with it... haha Clare being manhandled in most. Poor thing.

This is William's last year taking school pictures. They do black and white photos in the spring, but this is the "official" photo of the year! He's come a long way since year 1. See below!

Nice pictures to wrap up William's last year. I will miss him being at this school so much. He loves it and it's been a wonderful place for him to grow. His first teachers are still around and it's fun to talk to them about how much he's grown too. It isn't just me watching. Hope this year goes by slowly, but already we're in October gearing up for the holidays. Relishing each and every moment watching these two at school loving life and enjoying being little. I wouldn't trade it for anything!
